Curling Champions Portfolio BLOG

One Year

by Jayne' Childs on 04/01/12

Well a lot can happen in a year I am in my studio watching Glen Howard at Team play at the Worlds this year in Switzerland, I am working hard on the Granites final painting, I drew and painting and met Russ Howard just a year ago and all this started. I have a huge portfolio of a wonderful bunch of Champions to produce as a Exhibition which I am flying to Victoria this April to arrange to hold World Opening Exhibition in Victoria next April/13 when the Men's Worlds returns to Victoria.

I have a real appreciation for this sport the curlers but even more so the historical archives of this sport is where my heart is drawn THE GRANITE is really having an effect on me is an artist it has solvented my desire to creat a collection of scenes of the sport so the Fort Rouge interior will definatly be pursued along with the Champions paintings.

Also I am looking for a supposed Beautiful stone Curling club in Ottawa????? Anyone heard of this one?

BRIAR BOYS

by Jayne' Childs on 03/04/12

Well it finally is here the holy grail of Curling "THE BRIAR" I am watching all the Draws getting to know these men some are old dogs some are young pups, it is a totally unique experience, friend Fran and her husband Barry are at the event, she is going to try and capture some good shots of handsome Kevin Koe for his portrait. Glen Howard looks great and ready to take this one home, maybe? This is going to be a very interesting week. I am really enjoying the TANKARD especially the historical photo's.

What fun!! Watching the Girls!! Heather Nedohin, Jennifer Jones, Amber Holland, Kim and Tammy Schneider, Heather Kalenchuk, you are all so much fun to watch! This is what all your hardwork is for to be at the Nationals. I can see by the crowds that this is the real stage. I am getting to see some other great ladies too. Kevin Koe's sister is great along with Kelly Scott. I am looking forward to this week and wish you all best of luck and best of times. You all have earned it along with Maryfield's own Candice Chisholm 5th for Michelle Englot for Saskatchewan.
